Buying Used Softball  Bats

  If you or your team needs more softball bats many people will be tempted to buy used softball bats.  There is varying different opinions on whether or not this is a good idea or not.  I personally believe that at certain times it is a good thing but not all the time.  There are a number of different things that factor into whether buying new or used softball bats are right for you. 

  The biggest factor in whether or not you should be buying new or used softball bats is what you are going to be using it for.  If you are looking for something just for batting practice or the batting cages then saving some money and getting something that isn't brand new is a good idea.  But if you are looking for something for a game then an older bat will have already lost some of its 'pop'.  You don't want to be going into games with a dead bat.  You need a new one or near new in the cases where you plan to use it in a game.

  Buying used softball bats will save you money but you can get very good new softball bats at discount prices over the internet.  A lot of times these new ones will be cheaper than what the second has store has the older ones for.   There is no point in wasting your money on old bats if they are not going to be any good.  Of course, if the bat has only been used a couple of times and you can get it a really good price then I would go ahead and purchase it.
